Association La Voix de l’Enfant Rural (AVER) is an association created in 2011 that works mainly with rural children, young people and rural women, through three main axes: (1) education; (2) youth mobility; (3) the social and solidarity economy. The Education Department’s mission is to defend children’s rights, including the cultural right. It is preparing to launch its new project “Puppets on the Road” in two governorates (Médenine, Tataouine – Remada), aiming to foster social and cultural diversity, civic participation and the socio-cultural inclusion of children, supported by the Tfanen – Tunisie Créative programme, funded by the European Union under the PACT programme and implemented by the British Council in partnership with the EUNIC network.
To better contribute to its objectives, AVER is recruiting an Administrative Officer. Fixed-term contract of 6 months, part-time, from September 2017 (4 hours/day with 4 days off per month); position based in Médenine with business trips outside Médenine (Tataouine); attractive remuneration valuing the candidate’s profile and performance.
Duties: assisting the project manager in implementing and monitoring activities, organising workshops, training sessions and festivals, supporting the rollout of a monitoring-and-evaluation system, carrying out administrative and logistical tasks, supporting reporting, and coordinating with partners and the project’s organising committee.
Eligibility: university degree; resident in Médenine; two years’ experience in project management; excellent analysis and synthesis skills; excellent command of Arabic and French (English preferred); proficiency with common software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); team spirit, flexibility, dynamism, rigour and initiative.
