About AVER

A Tunisian NGO working to empower rural children and young people, and to nurture culture and artistic creation.

AVER is a non-governmental organisation, established primarily to empower children and young people by involving them as active citizens and future leaders within their communities, while promoting different forms of culture and artistic creation.

The association works closely with children and young people on education, youth empowerment, employability and mobility, the inclusion of marginalised youth, gender equality, democracy and active citizenship.

Areas of work

Three departments carry the association's work.

Education

Supporting the educational and cultural journey of pupils in the rural schools of Médenine.

Youth

Awakening active citizenship and supporting young people's mobility and employability.

Social & solidarity economy

Strengthening economic structures – women-led ones in particular – around the values of solidarity.
