As part of the “Eva Savonnerie” project organised by Association La Voix de l’Enfant Rural in partnership with Espace Entreprendre Médenine and the Institute of Arid Regions (IRA), with the support of the German Embassy through the Partnership for Democratic Transition programme for 2017, project implementation began and continues until the end of December 2017. The project comprises several stages, the most notable being the selection of 15 women for technical training in cold saponification, soap preservation and packaging under the guidance of professionals at the IRA in Médenine. It will close with the second edition of a regional fair for rural women’s local products in Médenine. The beneficiaries also benefit from theoretical and practical CEFEE training under Espace Entreprendre Médenine.
In this context, the association, together with several local professional structures, seeks to provide all the conditions needed to contribute to the economic empowerment of rural women by training them and integrating them into the labour market, through the launch of a new mutual company and its equipment, as part of an overall strategy supporting sustainable development in our region.
