Label’zik Sud-Est – a beautiful commitment to dance! A cultural project and the fruit of the success of Médenine’s first dance festival, thanks to the will and love of our young artists for dance. It offers 21 candidates an opportunity to learn and make their voices heard in their communities through art – young dancers from three governorates (Médenine, Tataouine, Gabès) with a single aim: to raise the voice of culture.
The project comprises three activities, beginning with an expression and stage-theatre-techniques workshop that supports the young dancers, followed by dance workshops (Break-dance, contemporary) and a choreographic workshop, ending with the big show: the Label’zik Sud-Est dance festival. As in its previous edition, the programme is concentrated over three days, 8–10 September 2017, with 30 shows and 100 dancers. Our candidates presented magnificent choreographic pieces, alternating individual and group work. (1st solo prize: Sabri Rejab, Gabès; 1st group prize: Médenine.)
