“EEE” is an environmental project born from a set of ecological problems requiring action, targeting children aged 6–18, young people and educational actors. Its activities aim to teach the notion of selective sorting and to make good use of waste: an opportunity to take part in creative recycling workshops in various venues in Médenine (Ouerjijen school, Bagbag school, Beni Ghzeyel school, the El Habib neighbourhood children’s club, the centre for social defence and integration). These workshops reached more than 150 children on the importance of recycling, alongside awareness days in schools and the installation of sorting bins (Ouerjijen school, the Pilot High School, Médenine city centre).
The project also included composting / organic-waste-valorisation training for educational actors, and an audiovisual/radio spot to raise public awareness, produced as a national competition with 16 entries reaching more than 2,000 views a month, and finally an art exhibition of the creative products made throughout the project. The “Eco-School” environmental education project was born from the pollution problems in Médenine – and also from a hidden dream of a good future and a green planet for our coming generations.
