As Friedrich Nietzsche said , To dance at least once , As The region of Medenine Danced For the First Time in The First Dance Festival “ Label’Zik” Which gathered 17 Young Dancers from the region to participate in different dance styles and workshops with professional dance coachas well as in stage techniques as a preparation to be competed in two types of shows “solo and in groups” during 3 days .
Label’Zik Didn’t let Medenine’s days be lost , this project has been organized by the organization of “ la voix de L’Enfant rural “ medenine and its partners: youth house 1 , and cultural complex Medenine , with the support of the Tunisian-German cooperation in Tunis,on 1,2,3 of December 2016.After many workshops in different types of dance such as zumba , salsa , hip hop , break-dance , and Indian as well as in stage techniques with specialist coaches , the young 17 participants , learned how to master stage presence , with confidence , how to move and use space for their own benefits for their show .Added to this , they learnt how to dance different dance styles and its basics to develop their skills. During 1st of December 2016, the festival began, by the group participants opening choreography in front of the crowd in which they were many and the room was full, and in front of the jury too. Then, theindividual and the group’s competition started, noticing that, it exist a 107 dancers out of competition groups who compete by their shows to win the vote of the crowd. At the end of the day, 2 winners of the solo performance have made it to finals with one group performance. At the second day , The dancing Fire continues to lit and more skills and divers shows from the participants in which at the closing of the second day , 2 more solo and 1 group have made it to finals too , to compete in finals with the other 2 solo and group in which it happened in , The 3rd day , which started by the Indian choreography performed by the participants , and then the finals begins and competition was on fire , but at the end , the solo winner was “ bboy Jackie “ by his amazing performance which made the crowd and people in tears , and the Group winner was “ One Step crew “ . At the End of Festival, a very beautiful image was seen which is all the groups together standing happy for the winners for their friends, with a faire-play;Medenine has done it, Medenine Danced, for the first time.

As It started with Friedrich Nietzsche ;Martha Graham also insist in the importance of dance in our lives by mentioning that Dance is the hidden language of the soul , Dance is more than just dance , it’s a way of expression , a way of living , Dance is Freedom , “Label’Zik” at its first edition; was The Freedom and the way of expression to these young Dancers in The region of Medenine and put a big smile on their faces.
