“Qismi Al Ahla” (QAA) is a project to create spaces dedicated to artistic practice in state primary schools located in disadvantaged areas. The project runs for seven months (June–December 2021).
It involves transforming a classroom – for the benefit of 137 pupils at Hassi Médenine primary school, Médenine South – into a space for creation, breaking away from the typical layout of school premises while offering a quality space for cultural and artistic activities: reading, dance, writing, music and visual arts.
The aim is to improve children’s quality of life and well-being by offering spaces and activities that stimulate their imagination, increase their autonomy and enrich their cultural and artistic sensibility. The project is carried out by Association La Voix de l’Enfant Rural (AVER) in partnership with Association L’Art Rue, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office through the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (IFA), zivik programme.
